Founded by Josephine in November 2023, our brand is a celebration of handcrafted elegance by using leftover and deadstock materials to make accessories to add to your already existing wardrobe.

Each piece is thoughtfully designed and created by hand in our Copenhagen atelier. Not to only enhance your style but also contribute to a more conscious fashion approach.

Our Founder

Josephine, our dedicated founder, brings her background as an educated fashion designer from Copenhagen School of Design and Technology and experience as a bag designer at an accessory brand, a keen eye for design to every creation. It’s important to ensure that each item tells a story about where the fabric comes from, playful creativity, and the value that lies in the work of art.

L’atelier Joné started as a small hobby project to get back to nerdy creativity. In her study time, nature and flowers have been concepts she has worked on, and some old flower creations were hidden away in the basement. After some time, the box of flowers was the start of something great—showing to friends and family—and there was a feeling there was a request for the creations.

The Fabric

At L’atelier Joné, we believe in the power of upcycling and repurposing, transforming materials that might have otherwise gone to waste into unique, timeless accessories. Therefore, each material is very closely sourced in Denmark. Some of the fabrics are sourced from high-quality closets around the country, and some are deadstock or antiques sourced from the European market. Where beautiful fabric has been overproduced for another purpose in the fashion industry, we collect and renew its life.

The quality of the fabrics is almost the most important part. We have a big passion and standard for all our creations, and therefore we will never make a creation from fabric that doesn’t meet our standards. This also requires that the sourcing have to be very hands-on and is a big part of the process.
